From a guest op-ed in today’s Seattle Post-Intelligencer:

It hasn’t been easy to be a Republican, certainly not since 2006 and perhaps for some time before then. A constant barrage of scandal and corruption has dogged the party, discouraging voters who tend to place more importance on sound character than sound bytes. Voters reacted to what they perceived as a party entrenched and intoxicated with power — a party that won the trust of the American people by promising to limit the size of government, then proceeded to triple under Bush. Triple! With criminal lobbyists and shameful bungling, what worse could the other guys do?

Not easy being a Republican, huh? Look, if you were dumb enough to vote for Bush and his corrupt, scandal-ridden government not once but twice, then whatever grief or disappointment that comes your way is well-deserved. You got exactly what you wanted… deal with it.

Christ almighty… the amount of damage these people and their party has inflicted on this once great country, and this woman has the nerve to whine about how tough it has been for Republicans.  Boo-fucking-hoo…
