Deadly serious…

Posted by Brian on October 6, 2008

The angry right is getting so out-of-control that I think Obama needs his secret service detail upped. From TPM:

So we have McCain today getting his crowd riled up asking who Barack Obama is and then apparently giving a wink and a nod when one member of the crowd screams out “terrorist.”

And later we have Sarah Palin with the same mob racket, getting members of the crowd to yell out “kill him“, though it’s not clear whether the call for murder was for Bill Ayers or Barack Obama. It didn’t seem to matter.

These are dangerous and sick people, McCain and Palin. Whatever it takes. Stop at nothing.

America’s right-wing has degenerated into a sick, sick movement:

UPDATE: It’s worse than I thought:

Worse, Palin’s routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric‘s questions for her “less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media.” At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, “Sit down, boy.”

Flat out – that is bullshit. McCain should be ashamed of himself and distance himself from Palin and these degenerates. The only chance, IMHO, of regaining any respect with the reasonable and rational Americans is to step far, far away from this. Scary shit… really.

This is some scary shit… really scary. I hope McCain distances himself from Palin and these other fear-mongering degenerates as soon as possible. It is the only way (IMnsHO) he can regain any standing among the reasonable and rational people, who will surely turn against this sort of “Republican” politicking.

DOn’t count on it, Lorne. These hate-filled neanderthals are also known as the base of the Republican Party; McCain must have their support for a chance at victory.
